Transfarmers Worm Composter
The Transfarmers Worm Composter combines a flowerpot and a 4.5-gallon (17-liter) worm composter. A perforated panel separates the two areas: the composting worms move freely, and the plant benefits from the vermicompost. It recycles 1.6–2.1 quarts (1.5–2 liters) of food scraps per week. A free online training session is included.

Who is Transfarmers?
Did you know? The stoppers on the Transfarmers pot combine cork, an excellent natural insulator, with rubber made from recycled shoe soles.
Transfarmers is a young French brand born of the desire to compost, even in an apartment. The Transfarmers flowerpot worm composter was designed by agronomists after several years of research and testing.
The Transfarmers pot is handmade in France from natural terracotta. Terracotta is breathable and absorbent, which makes it ideal for composting worms. Each pot is unique: slight variations in color are the hallmark of handcrafted work.
Transfarmers also makes the Ollas Poto, terracotta water diffusers inspired by Fibonacci curves, available in 3 sizes. A lovely way to water your potted plants economically.
Moutta Farm, a composting worm breeder since 2007, is the exclusive distributor of Transfarmers and keeps Transfarmers spare parts in stock: stopper, saucer, and divider panel. The Transfarmers Worm Composter comes with a 2-year warranty.
Questions about Transfarmers products
Who is the Transfarmers Worm Composter right for?
The Transfarmers Worm Composter is designed for apartments and small spaces. It recycles 0.4 to 0.5 gallons (1.5 to 2 liters) of food scraps per week, making it ideal for a household that wants to compost without a balcony or yard. The Transfarmers pot works best indoors, since composting worms like mild temperatures.
What else do I need for the Transfarmers pot?
The Transfarmers pot only works with composting worms, which are sold separately and always by weight. You'll also need a plant and potting soil for the flowerpot section. Want to explore more options? Check out our other worm composters with planters.
Which plants can I grow in a Transfarmers pot?
The Transfarmers pot can accommodate a wide range of plants, large and small: vegetables, herbs, foliage plants, or flowering plants. The growing section holds 6.6 gallons (25 liters) of soil. Your plant benefits directly from the vermicompost produced by the worms in the 4.5-gallon (17-liter) compost section.
Can I replace a part of my Transfarmers?
Yes. Moutta Farm offers Transfarmers replacement parts: the cap, the protective bowl, and the separation panel. That way, your terracotta Transfarmers pot will last for many years.
