Canadian nightcrawlers for fishing
Our biggest worms: 6–8 in (15–20 cm), ideal for big fish.
The Lumbricus terrestris, or Canadian nightcrawler, is the largest worm we offer. It measures 6–8 in (15–20 cm) and weighs about 0.14 oz (4 g) on average. Its dark red color and flattened tail end make it easy to recognize. Every order is carefully prepared: the worms are sorted and packed on the day they ship, so they arrive fresh, lively, and in excellent health. Worms are sold by weight, not by count.
These worms work well for many freshwater species, such as barbel, bream, carp, chub, roach, perch, rudd, tench, trout, eel, and catfish. Use them whole, or cut them into pieces to make them even more attractive to fish.

Moutta Farm adds a special bedding equal to twice the weight of the worms. It recreates an ideal habitat that supports their well-being and longevity. Packed this way, your worms arrive strong, active, and ready to use, mainly for fishing or as a supplemental food for certain animals.
These worms are not suitable for worm composters. To keep them, store them in the bottom of the refrigerator at 37–45 °F (3–7 °C) and add small pieces of cardboard or paper to recreate the right bedding. In a box or a micro-perforated bag, they stay lively and active for several weeks, ready for fishing or for feeding your animals.
