The starting point of the whole Agriton range: effective microorganisms in their pure form. Diluted in non-chlorinated water, the EM-1 mother solution is used to make bokashi activator, water the vegetable garden, clean the house, or prepare your own activated solution.
It comes in an 8.5 fl oz (250 ml) bottle to try it out, then in 34 fl oz (1 liter) and 2.6 gallon (10 liter) sizes.

Who is Agriton?
Did you know?Effective microorganisms were developed in the 1980s by Professor Teruo Higa at the University of the Ryukyus, on the island of Okinawa in Japan. This is also where EM Sea Salt Gold comes from.
Agriton is a Dutch company specializing in EM® effective microorganisms. It makes official EM® products, derived from the strains developed by Professor Higa, with the approval of the Japanese organization that holds the rights, and adapts them for agriculture, livestock farming, the garden, and the home.
The entire range starts from the same base: EM-1, a mother solution of lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, and phototrophic bacteria that live together and strengthen one another. The other Agriton products (EM-A, EM ceramics, the Equibiome equine range...) are ready-to-use versions designed for a specific purpose.
At Moutta Farm, we've been using Agriton products for years, especially for bokashi and for natural gardening.
Questions about Agriton products
Which Agriton product should I start with?
If you're new to effective microorganisms, the EM-1 mother solution, 8.5 fl oz (250 ml) is the best place to start: you can use it to make your own bokashi activator, water your vegetable garden, or clean your home. For a specific use, go straight for the ready-to-use solution in the category you're interested in.
What's the difference between EM-1 and EM-A?
EM-1 is the concentrated mother solution. EM-A (Microferm, Nutribiome) is an activated, ready-to-use solution that costs less when you're treating large areas or using large volumes.
Are Agriton products suitable for natural gardening?
Yes! Effective microorganisms are cultures of beneficial microorganisms produced through fermentation. They complement natural gardening by feeding soil life, alongside EM products for soil and plants.
