WormFood, protein-rich food for worms

WormFood pairs perfectly with WORMboost. Used together, they help your worms breed. When you're away, mix it with well-moistened paper and cardboard.

It also works for bait worms (red worms, dendros) that you want to keep lively or raise: sprinkle a little twice a week, along with a splash of water. WormFood, WORMboost, RegulaWorm, and two hemp mats all come together in our 5-Accessory Pack.

WormFood is made of wheat bran, oats, dehydrated alfalfa, wheat straw, soybean meal (traceable supply chain), and canola meal. It's a complete feed, formulated to give worms the nutrients they need without relying on fermentable food scraps.

The product is guaranteed non-GMO. It's also the feed we use in our own worm breeding bins here on the farm.

WormFood is available in a 2.2 lb (1 kg) or 4.4 lb (2 kg) bag and an 8.8 lb (4 kg) box; 2.2 lb (1 kg) is also included in our 5-accessory pack.

Store it in a clean, dry, well-ventilated place, away from light and moisture, and carefully reseal the bag after each use. Keeping a spare bag on hand means you'll be ready if you have to be away unexpectedly.

A small handful of WormFood once or twice a week is enough, or use the 0.7 fl oz (20 ml) measuring spoon for a precise amount. Spread the pellets over the surface of the active tray (the top one), then mix them into the food scraps. If left on the surface, they can get moldy, which is harmless but unsightly.

Reseal the kraft bag tightly after each use to keep the pellets fresh.

Before you leave, mix the WormFood with well-moistened paper and cardboard and place it all in the active tray. As a rough guide, 4 handfuls are enough for about 15 days.

Also leave the spigot on the leachate tray open, with a container underneath. Well-established worms can go 3 to 4 weeks without fresh food.
