Worm composters can quickly build up heat, and worms are particularly sensitive to high temperatures. In summer, we therefore recommend choosing a shaded, cool and well-ventilated spot, ideally indoors if the temperature is more stable there.

We sincerely regret this bad experience. Worm composting is still perfectly possible in an apartment, and we would have preferred to support you in finding a suitable location before this situation occurred.
