The Worm Café, one of the Australian pioneers of vermicomposting, is one of the largest tray-based models available.
It easily fits into any space: kitchen, pantry, basement, garage, or even outdoors in the yard (as long as it is protected from intense heat).
Its three large-capacity rectangular trays efficiently recycle the organic waste of households of up to 6 people.
Its stylish legs help keep ants out. Four vents on the trays ensure optimal airflow.
This worm composter has a reservoir built into the leachate tray, making it simple to collect worm tea. Its tall legs are a real advantage: there are 9.1 in (23 cm) between the floor and the spigot, so you can easily set a bottle underneath to collect the worm tea.
With its sleek black design made from 100% recycled plastic, the Worm Café is the perfect companion for recycling your organic waste.
What's more, the bottom tray has a textured surface that helps the worms climb up into the upper trays.
Comes complete with:
- 1 lid,
- 2 or 3 trays,
- 1 spigot,
- 1 leachate tray,
- 4 legs,
- 1 vermicomposting guide + assembly instructions in English.
Included: the complete vermicomposting guide and a detailed 20-page user manual (8.3 x 8.3 in / 21 x 21 cm, in English) to walk you through using and caring for your worm composter step by step.

Advantages
Ideal for large families:
- Its two large trays give it plenty of capacity.
- It can easily be kept open thanks to the handles under the lid.
- It has a small environmental footprint, since it is made from 100% recycled plastic.
- Its design will easily fit in indoors or outdoors.
How it works:
As the lower compartments fill up, simply add a new tray and move up one level. The worms gradually move upward, drawn by the fresh food scraps, to feed on new organic matter. Vermicompost and worm tea are harvested from the lower levels of the worm composter.
