This natural coconut fiber block is a versatile substrate, ideal for vermicomposting and raising worms, as well as for growing potted plants and as a natural bedding for certain animals, especially turtles and reptiles. Its 100% natural composition makes it a healthy, eco-friendly alternative to conventional potting soils and beddings.
Quality and safety
Each block is washed and desalinated, and guaranteed free of fungi, germs, and added fertilizers. No additives are included, making it safe for worms, plants, and animals alike.
Before use, simply rehydrate the block with no more than 2.6 quarts (2.5 liters) of water. In 15 to 20 minutes, you get about 2.4 gallons (9 liters) of soft, airy, even substrate. This texture promotes air circulation, maintains optimal moisture, and lets worms move around easily and get to work as soon as they are added.
For worm composters and worm farming
The coco block makes a perfect base for starting or refreshing the bedding in a worm composter or a worm farm (for fishing bait or breeding). Unlike many store-bought potting soils, it contains no chemicals that could disturb the worms or drive them away.
Coconut substrate is especially helpful when the bedding becomes too compact or too wet. It helps rebalance moisture, stabilize the pH, and create a healthy environment that encourages worm activity.
For potted plants and gardening
Coconut fiber can also be used as potting soil. Its excellent water retention keeps roots consistently moist while preventing overwatering. The substrate stays light and airy and doesn't compact over time, which encourages healthy root growth.
It can be used on its own or mixed with potting soil, compost, or vermicompost, especially for houseplants, seedlings, herbs, or plants sensitive to excess moisture. Coconut fiber is also an ideal neutral growing medium for plants that need good drainage.

As animal bedding (turtles, reptiles, small animals)
Thanks to its natural composition and high absorbency, the coco block is also perfectly suited as bedding for turtles, reptiles, and some small animals. Once rehydrated, it provides a comfortable, soft, slightly moist substrate that is close to their natural habitat.
Coconut fiber helps regulate humidity, reduces odors, and contains no dust or chemical additives, which lowers the risk of irritation or respiratory problems. It is especially popular for terrariums housing tortoises or tropical turtles, lizards, and amphibians.
