This wooden composter, available in an 80.6-gallon (305-liter) or 159.3-gallon (603-liter) capacity, is made from spruce wood sourced from protected French forests. 7-year warranty.
Wood is an excellent thermal insulator, helping to maintain a constant temperature inside the composter. This steady temperature encourages the optimal growth of the microorganisms that break down waste.
The small gaps between the boards ensure good airflow, which preserves the compost’s biodiversity by allowing insects and other beneficial organisms to move in easily.
With proper care, the composter can last for many years. It breaks down naturally without polluting the environment. Its natural, attractive look lets it blend beautifully into your yard.
Compost from a wooden composter is especially rich in essential nutrients that boost plant growth. It improves soil structure by increasing its ability to hold water and supporting root development. It also enriches the soil with beneficial microorganisms that help break down organic matter, making nutrients more available to plants.

How it works:
As the lower compartments fill up, you add a new tray and move up a level. The worms gradually climb upward, drawn by the fresh supply of scraps to feed on new organic matter. Vermicompost and worm tea are harvested from the lower levels of the worm composter.
