Vulkamin® Granules is a 100% natural mineral amendment made from primary volcanic rock (basalt), finely ground and then formed into granules for easy, even application. Rich in essential minerals and trace elements, it helps you replenish your soil's reserves for the long term.
Thanks to its natural composition, free of pollutants, Vulkamin helps rebalance farmland, meadows, and gardens. It improves soil structure, increases the soil's capacity to retain water and nutrients, and supports microbial activity. Plants become more resistant to disease, nutrient deficiencies, and environmental stress.
Benefits
- Valuable source of minerals and trace elements;
- Stimulates soil microbial activity;
- Increases buffering capacity;
- Promotes decomposition and enriches compost;
- Easy to apply thanks to the granular format;
- No toxic risk to animals;
- Approved for organic farming.
Its zeolite-type mineral structure gives it a large exchange surface: it absorbs and adsorbs gases and ions (especially phosphate), helping maintain the natural balance of soil and aquatic environments.
Vulkamin® Granules is a natural, sustainable solution for restoring soil fertility, strengthening crops, and improving the balance of meadows and aquatic environments.
For soil, meadows, and crops
The granules enrich the soil with iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, silicon, zinc, and other trace elements essential to plant growth.
They stimulate microbial activity, promote decomposition, and improve long-term soil fertility.
Application rate:
• 268 lb per acre (300 kg / ha)
• 6 to 20 lb per 1,000 sq ft (3 to 10 kg / are)
• 16.9 lb per cubic yard (10 kg / m³) in growing media
In the yard and vegetable garden
Vulkamin can be used on lawns, flower beds, and vegetable gardens.
It helps keep your lawn healthy (less moss), improves rooting, and boosts the growth of both ornamental and vegetable plantings.
Application rate:
• 2 lb per 100 sq ft (1 kg / 10 m²) per year
In ponds and water gardens
Thanks to its ability to absorb phosphate, Vulkamin helps limit algae growth (especially string algae) by depriving it of nutrients.
It acts as a natural mineral sponge and helps keep the water balanced.
Application rate:
• 2 lb per 10 sq ft (1 kg / m²) of surface area per year
Adding it to Bokashi
Vulkamin can be mixed into a Bokashi pile to enrich the compost with minerals and improve the quality of the finished amendment.
In granular form, it won't blow away in the wind and is easy to spread by hand or with a fertilizer spreader. Since the product is non-toxic, animals can return to pasture immediately after application.
Approved for organic farming in accordance with European Regulations 834/2007 and 889/2008.
