Bokashi Mulch is an innovative organic soil amendment made by fermenting straw flour and apple pulp with Effective Microorganisms (EM®). This natural fermentation process enriches the mulch with vitamins, amino acids, natural antibiotics, and other organic acids, which support plant growth and boost soil life. Applied to your garden, it feeds soil microorganisms and helps increase biodiversity while improving soil structure and fertility.

Benefits
Bokashi Mulch activates life in the soil and around the roots, stimulating natural microbial processes. It limits the leaching of essential nutrients such as carbon and nitrogen, keeping your soil fertile and balanced.
By enriching the soil with organic nutrients, it supports the health and vitality of your plants, whether vegetables, flowers, trees, or shrubs. It is a sustainable, eco-friendly solution that complies with European regulations 834/2007 and 889/2008 for organic farming.
Its sturdy, coarse texture makes it perfect for established plantings and open ground, while boosting microbial activity and local biodiversity.
Thanks to its fermented organic composition, Bokashi Mulch breaks down organic matter more efficiently, stimulates biodiversity, and supports healthy, vigorous plant growth.
It is a must-have ally for any gardener who cares about soil health and long-term, sustainable growing, offering a living mulch that feeds and energizes your soil day after day.
How to Use
The mulch can be spread directly on the soil surface or mixed into the soil at planting time.
For new plantings, mix about 4% by volume into the soil in the planting holes.
For regular garden maintenance, spread 0.1–0.2 lb per sq ft (0.5–1 kg per m²), which means one 55 lb (25 kg) bag covers about 270–540 sq ft (25–50 m²).
While it is highly effective at enriching and protecting the soil, its coarser texture makes it less suitable for seed sowing and young seedlings, which need a finer, lighter growing medium.
