Eisenia foetida manure worms, small to medium size (1.6–3.1 in / 4–8 cm), red in color. The worms are 100% adults, with no babies or larvae.
Every order is carefully prepared: the worms are sorted and packed on the day they ship to guarantee freshness, vitality, and excellent health on arrival. The worms are sold by weight, not by count.
At Moutta Farm, we've chosen generous, high-quality packaging. Each box contains sorted, weighed worms, plus bedding equal to twice the weight of the worms.
This bedding, developed on our farm, recreates an ideal habitat that supports their well-being and longevity.
This careful preparation and packaging means you get hardy, active worms that are ready to use, whether for fishing or for feeding your animals.
Fishing bait:
These manure worms make ideal fishing bait. Versatile and tough, they work for many fish species, such as barbel, bream, carp, chub, roach, perch, catfish, rudd, tench, and trout. Their liveliness and the way they stay on the hook make them a favorite with anglers, whether they fish rivers, ponds, or lakes.
Animal feed:
These worms can also be used as food for certain reptiles and amphibians. They are especially suitable for Litoria frogs, lizards such as Tiliqua, and snakes such as Thamnophis.
Some insectivorous or omnivorous birds, such as chickens, ducks, and pigeons, can also benefit from worms as a dietary supplement.
Their size and nutritional value make them a great food source for many insectivorous or omnivorous species.
Your worms are packed in a micro-perforated box or bag that allows good airflow while keeping moisture at the right level.
Keeping your worms:
When your worms arrive, we recommend placing the box somewhere cool, such as a basement or the bottom of the refrigerator.
Stored this way, your worms will stay healthy for several weeks. To keep them lively, we recommend feeding them our special high-protein worm food twice a week: sprinkle it lightly and add a little water to keep the bedding moderately moist.
If you'd like to keep them for several months, simply replace their bedding about once a month with our bedding mix or coco coir.
