They're hardy.

I've had a worm composter for years. The worm population declined without me realizing it. When I came back from vacation, there were no worms left, and it took me weeks to notice. My bedding is made of leaves and used paper (like tissues). I add peelings to it. The worms seem to want to leave the bin. I don't know if they're adapting.

J'ai un lombric composteur depuis des années. La population de vers a décliné sans que je le réalise. De retour de vacance, il n'y avait plus de vers et j'ai mis des semaines à m'en apercevoir. J'ai une litière de feuille et de papier usée (de type mouchoir). J'y mets des épluchures. Les vers semblent vouloir sortir du bac. Je ne sais pas s'ils s'adaptent.

I bought them to replenish the worms in my worm composter because there were fewer and fewer of them (the heatwave didn't help). It's much better now, and they seem to be doing well and enjoying it!

Achetés pour renouveler les vers de mon lombricompost car ils étaient de moins en moins nombreux (la canicule n’ayant pas aidé), cela est beaucoup mieux, et ils ont l’air d’aller bien et de se plaire!

I received my worms 2 weeks ago. I put them on pieces of cardboard with their soil and a little food, and they're doing well and are active. Apart from 2 or 3 runaways, they seem content with their new home.

J'ai bien reçu mes vers il a 2 semaines. Déposés sur des morceaux de cartons avec leur terreau et un peu de nourriture ils vont bien et sont actifs. A part 2 ou 3 fuyards ils semblent se contenter de leur nouvel habitat.

For a year now, they haven't survived the heatwave.

Depuis un an, ils n'ont pas resiste a la canicule.

The worms arrived shortly after I ordered them. Since then, they've been diligently doing their job without ever asking for anything other than peelings. Who's the strongest? The worms, of course! Hand in hand (which they don't have), they go further, further. Come on! Go worms!

Les vers sont arrivés peu après avoir été commandés. Depuis, ils font assidument leur travail sans jamais rien réclamer d'autre que des épluchures. Qui c'est les plus forts ? Evidemment c'est les vers ! Main dans la main qu'ils n'ont pas, ils vont plus loin, plus loin. Allez ! Allez les vers !

On October 29th I received my Willys, nicely settled in their humus along with the hemp mat. They aren't eating for the moment, but they've only been installed in the worm composter for 9 days. I'm waiting for the video conference on November 18th to ask a few questions. Kind regards. Michelle b.
