This set of 3 fabric filters is designed to replace the worn-out filters in your WORMcube worm composter.

They allow optimal airflow while keeping composting worms from moving down into the leachate tray. They also limit mixing between the solid vermicompost and the worm tea, ensuring a clean, clog-free flow.

With this system, your red wigglers stay safe and won't drown or get lost in the liquid, which keeps them active and protects your ecosystem.

Each corner of the filter has a clip hole for easy, secure installation in the leachate tray frame.
Average lifespan: about 6 months, depending on use and how often you add material.

Your questions about the WORMcube Filters

The farm's answers to the questions our customers ask us most often.

Yes, this set of 3 fabric filters replaces worn filters in the WORMcube. They fit into the filter support frame of the leachate tray and keep the worms from crawling down and drowning in the worm tea, while still letting air and liquid pass through. They don't fit other models; the Urbalive, for example, has its own filter.

The filters hook onto the filter support frame for WORMcube, which itself clips onto the leachate tray lid for WORMcube. Together, these three parts let the WORMcube work without a spigot while your worms stay in the trays. If any of these parts needs replacing, it's available individually. The set of 3 filters comes with a 2-year warranty, and each filter lasts about 6 months.

Turn the filter support frame over, tabs facing up, and attach the WORMcube filter using its 4 clip holes, one at each corner. Then clip the frame onto the leachate tray lid, set the whole assembly on the leachate tray, and add the first tray on top. Use only one filter at a time: the other two are spares.

A WORMcube filter lasts about 6 months, depending on use and how often you add food scraps. The worms eventually nibble away at it, so replace it as soon as it's damaged or has holes in it. With the 3-pack, you're covered for about a year and a half.
