The WORMcube leachate tray lets you collect the worm tea naturally produced during vermicomposting.

Designed without a spigot, it uses a clever tilting system for simple, clean liquid collection. Used together with a filter, it keeps worms from crawling down and prevents any risk of drowning.

Don’t forget to pair it with the leachate tray lid, the part that lets you clip on the frame of the filter.

Made of thick, sturdy plastic, it's built to last. Compatible only with the WORMcube worm composter.

Your questions about the WORMcube leachate tray

The farm's answers to the questions our customers ask us most often.

Yes, this tray is compatible exclusively with the WORMcube. It collects the worm tea naturally produced during vermicomposting and replaces a cracked or damaged tray. If you're not sure, for example with an older WORMcube, send us a photo by email and we'll confirm whether the WORMcube leachate tray is the right fit.

The WORMcube is designed without a spigot: you empty the WORMcube leachate tray by simply tipping it, so the liquid can be collected without any mess. Its tight-fitting filter keeps the worms from crawling down into the tray, so there's no risk of them drowning in the worm tea, and a spigot isn't needed.

For a complete WORMcube leachate tray, you'll also need the leachate tray lid, which the filter support frame clips onto, and a fabric filter. If yours are damaged, all three parts are sold separately, and the filters come in packs of 3. Be sure to empty and rinse the tray regularly.

It couldn't be easier: just tilt the WORMcube leachate tray slightly to pour out the worm tea through the spout, with no spigot to maintain. The WORMcube legs raise it off the ground and make this even easier. Then dilute the worm tea, 1 part to 9 parts water, and water your plants. It keeps for up to 3 months in a bottle that isn't tightly sealed. You'll find all our tips in our guide: How and when to harvest vermicompost and worm tea
