The WORMgarden drawer works together with the slide divider for WORMgarden, which separates it from the composting area and makes for a clean harvest. Remember to flip the divider over when you take out the drawer. If you add a planter for WORMgarden, line the bottom of its pots with clay pebbles to lighten the whole unit. Use the vermicompost from the WORMgarden drawer directly in your pots and planters or in your vegetable garden. It's a highly concentrated natural fertilizer, about 10 times more powerful than regular compost. Mix 30% vermicompost with 70% potting soil, or sift a 0.4–0.8 in (1–2 cm) layer over the top of your pots. It feeds the roots every time you water. Stored properly, it keeps for up to 2 years.
