Easily increase the capacity of your WORMgarden by adding an extra planter. Each WORMgarden can hold up to 3 stacked planters (the maximum weight the base can support), so you can expand your vertical garden as your needs grow.

One of a kind, this system is the only vertical garden with a very large central composting zone, combined with 6 growing pots per level, for up to 18 growing zones in total.

Ideal for growing even more vegetables, fruit, and plants while continuing to recycle your organic waste naturally and efficiently.

Your questions about the WORMgarden planter

The farm's answers to the questions our customers ask us most often.

Yes, it stacks on all WORMgarden models, whether you bought the version with 1 or 2 planters. The WORMgarden planter adds a level with 6 growing areas around the large central composting area. If you have the JardiComposteur, it's the same model; we've simply renamed it. The planters have holes so your plant stakes can pass through.

A maximum of 3 planters per WORMgarden: that's the most weight the base can support once the pots are filled with soil. This gives you up to 18 growing areas around a single composting area. Don't go over this limit: beyond it, the structure may warp and the harvesting drawer could jam. To lighten the whole unit, put clay pebbles in the bottom of each pot.

Vegetables, fruit, herbs, or flowers: the WORMgarden is designed to grow a lot in a small space, as a vertical vegetable garden inspired by the keyhole garden. The WORMgarden planters have holes for plant stakes, which is handy for tomatoes and climbing plants. The plants are continuously fed by the vermicompost produced in the central area.

To grow more in the same space: each WORMgarden planter adds 6 growing areas around the large central composting area, for up to 18 growing areas with 3 planters. Your vegetables, fruit, and plants stay nourished by the vermicompost produced in the center, while your food scraps are put to good use naturally. Like the rest of the WORMgarden, it's made in France, and its pots have holes so you can insert plant stakes. Your vertical vegetable garden grows right along with your ambitions.

Remove the lid, set the new WORMgarden planter on top of the uppermost planter, then put the lid back on at the very top. Line the bottom of each pot with clay pebbles for drainage, fill with potting soil that contains no chemical or organic fertilizer, and plant. The worms move freely between the central section and the pots, so they will enrich the soil of your new plantings.
