Your questions about the Lisianthus, Ceramic Flower

The farm's answers to the questions our customers ask us most often.

Yes! Each Lisianthus is hand-sculpted and hand-painted in Portugal from clay. From one piece to the next, the shape, size, and shades vary slightly. That's what sets a handcrafted piece apart from a mass-produced one. Yours will be one of a kind, while staying true to the photo on the product page.

At 2.4 in (6 cm) in diameter, the Lisianthus is the daintiest of our large ceramic flowers. It sits on a flexible, adjustable 11.8 in (30 cm) stem that you can bend or shorten. Its slimmer shape tucks easily between larger flowers in a bouquet. Since each flower is handmade, slight variations are possible.

No, the Lisianthus is sold individually, without a vase. You can create your own bouquet by pairing it with the Anthurium, the Daisy, the Ondalys, the Pétrosia, or the Uniflora, in large or mini flowers. With over 150 variations of colors and flower types, there's no shortage of combinations, whether you want to decorate your home or give a gift.

The Lisianthus symbolizes gratitude, sincerity, and delicate elegance. It also evokes respect, gentleness, and relationships built on trust. Its name comes from the Greek lýsis (gentleness) and ánthos (flower), a nod to the delicacy of its blooms. It's the perfect flower for saying thank you: a thank-you that, unlike most, will never wilt.

The ceramic Lisianthus needs no watering and never wilts. A quick dusting with a feather duster or a dry cloth is all it takes to keep it looking its best, and the vase can stay empty, with no water. There's just one rule: do not expose it to freezing temperatures. Keep it indoors or in a sheltered spot.
