EM Prominant Gel is an innovative care gel made with Effective Microorganisms (EM®), for the horse’s hooves, frogs and skin.

EM Prominant Gel - Massage gel for horses

Its thick texture clings to the treated area for longer, while the applicator tip makes precise application easy, even deep into the frog.

Benefits

  • For frog hygiene, especially in wet weather;
  • For the care of pastern skin exposed to mud;
  • Provides fermentation microorganisms on the hoof and skin;
  • Thick texture that stays in place;
  • Easy, targeted application thanks to the nozzle;
  • Safe for repeated use.

Many microorganisms live naturally on and around the horse. Wet or wintry conditions (mud, damp bedding) put hooves and skin under strain.

EM Prominant Gel provides Effective Microorganisms (EM®) on the treated area (hoof or skin), which contribute to the balance of its natural flora.

Its gel texture ensures prolonged contact with the area concerned.

Directions for use

  • Clean and dry the area if needed.
  • Apply the gel directly to the affected area.
  • Use the nozzle to reach deep into the frog.
  • Repeat the application regularly, especially during wet periods.

Your questions about the EM Prominant Gel

The farm's answers to the questions our customers ask us most often.

Prominant Gel has a simple formula: water, cane sugar molasses, and EM microorganisms (lactic acid bacteria, yeasts, and other microorganisms). It's a gel for external use on the horse's hooves and skin. Its thick texture helps it stay in place on the treated area.

No, Prominant Gel is not a veterinary drug, and it does not treat any condition. It is meant for the regular care of the frog and skin and is applied to a clean area that has been dried if needed. If your horse has a strong odor coming from the hoof, lameness, a wound, or scabs, consult your veterinarian or farrier.

Clean and dry the area if needed, then apply Prominant Gel directly. Its applicator nozzle lets you work the gel deep into the grooves of the hoof's frog, and its thick texture stays in place. Reapply as often as needed, especially in wet weather or during the winter.

Use Prominant Gel as often as needed: the manufacturer states that repeated use is possible and recommends it for regular care, especially in wet or winter conditions, when the hooves stay damp. For example, apply it on a clean frog after picking out the hooves.
